অবতারের চিহ্ন [English below]

ঠাকুর সীতারামদাস ওঙ্কারনাথের শ্রীঅঙ্গে অবতারের বহু লক্ষণ বিদ্যমান ছিল। একবার এক বিশিষ্ট জ্যোতিষী শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরের হাত দেখেই অবাক হয়ে বলে ওঠেন—‘বাবা! আপনার হাতে তো শঙ্খ!’ ঠাকুর স্বরূপ লুকিয়ে রসিকতা করে বলেন- ‘এ শঙ্খ বাজে না।’ এই চিত্র থেকে আমরা দেখতে পাচ্ছি যে শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরের হাতে ভগবানের চারটি চিহ্নই রয়েছে – শঙ্খ, চক্র,গদা,পদ্ম! তিনি যে সাক্ষাৎ নারায়ণ! 


শ্রীশ্রীঠাকুরের চরণ এর চিত্র থেকেও দেখা যাচ্ছে যে ভগবানের শ্রীচরণের সমস্ত চিহ্নগুলি প্রকট আছে। স্কন্দপুরাণ থেকে সেই চরণচিহ্নের অনুধ্যান করা যাক—
দক্ষিণ চরণে বৃদ্ধাঙ্গুষ্ঠের নীচে চক্র চিহ্ন, যা ভক্তের ছয় রিপুকে ছেদন করে। 
দক্ষিণ চরণে তর্জনীর নীচে অচ্যুত প্রভুর পদ্ম ফুল, যা ভক্তের চিত্তকে মৌমাছির মত আকর্ষিত করে। 
দক্ষিণ চরণে কনিষ্ঠার নীচে বজ্র চিহ্ন, যা ভক্তের দুষ্ট প্রারব্ধর ফলকে খণ্ডন করে। 
তার নীচে চরনের মধ্যস্থলে হস্তি-অঙ্কুশ, যা মন মত্ত করিকে দমন করে। 
দক্ষিণ চরণে বৃদ্ধাঙ্গুষ্ঠের তলার গ্রন্থিতে জবের শীষ—শস্যসম্পদের প্রাচুর্যের প্রতীক। 
দক্ষিণ চরণে ষষ্ঠ চিহ্ন হল—ধ্বজা। 
ভগবানের বাম চরণের চিহ্নগুলি হল – 
বাম চরণে বৃদ্ধাঙ্গুষ্ঠের নীচে শঙ্খ চিহ্ন, শঙ্খের মুখ আঙ্গুলের দিকে। 
বাম চরণে মধ্যমার নীচে কিছু সমকেন্দ্রিক বৃত্ত, যা অন্তরীক্ষের প্রতীক। 
এর নীচে জ্যা-বিহীন ধনুক। ধনুকের নীচে ত্রিভুজ, ত্রিভুজ ঘিরে চার জল্পাত্র, জলের চিহ্ন। 
ত্রিভুজের নীচে অর্ধচন্দ্র, তার নীচে মৎস্য চিহ্ন।

SIGNS OF AVATAR:
Once, a renowned astrologer was examining the palm of THAKUR SITARAMDAS OMKARNATH. When he saw that THAKUR's palm has divine impressions, he exclaimed-- 'BABA, there is a conch in Your palm!!'
The self concealing Master withdrew His palm instantly and smiled and joked-- 'this conch cannot be blown.'
Actually, Thakur's palm had all 4 marks of SANKHA, CHAKRA, GADA, and PADMA, which corroborates His divine Identity!!
Thakur Sitaramdas Omkarnath's Lotus feet had evidence of divine icons that corroborate His divine Identity.
Skanda Purana states:
'At the base of the large toe on His right foot, the unborn Lord carries the mark of a disc, which cuts down the six (mental) enemies of His devotees.'
'At the bottom of the middle toe of that same foot Lord Acyuta has a lotus flower, which increases the greed for Him in the minds of the beelike devotees who meditate on His feet.'
'At the base of His small toe is a thunderbolt, which smashes the mountains of His devotees' reactions to past sins.'
‘Below the thunderbolt sign, in the middle of His heel is the mark of an elephant goad, which brings the elephants of His devotees' minds under control.'
'The joint of His right large toe bears the mark of a barleycorn, representing all kinds of enjoyable opulences.'
"Thus the Skanda Puräna describes sixth mark on Lord's right foot-the flag.’ 
The marks on Krishna's left foot as follows:
"At the base of the large toe is a conchshell with its mouth facing the toe. 
At the base of the middle toe are two concentric circles, representing the inner and outer sky. 
Below this mark is unstrung bow, at the base of the bow is a triangle, and surrounding the triangle is a group of four waterpots[water signs]. 
At the base of the triangle is a half-moon , and below the half-moon is a fish.’
