SITARAM LEELA

Sri Gour Neogi, a resident of Bhadreswar, was a blessed disciple of Thakur Sitaramdas Omkarnathdev. When Thakur went to preach the Holy Name to Southern India, He had asked Gour Neogi—“Will you be able to come along? ‘Sometimes under a tree, sometimes in two storey’!” Ignoring all mundane uncertainties, the devotee had accompanied Thakur on His mission relying on the eternally certain grace of the Master.
During that time, Gour Neogi used to clean the utensils everyday. Oneday, while doing this daily Seva, his mind pondered—“everyone is taking rest after lunch, and I have to do all these cumbersome works!” Just then he looked behind and saw that Omniscient Sitaram was standing. Thakur tightened His cloth on His waist and said—“Gour, Come, let boths of us, Father and son, do the work together. Let me scrub the utensils, and you wash those after the scrubbing.”
Realising the essence of Thakur’s omniscience and overwhelming grace, Gour Neogi prostrated at Thakur’s feet and started to cry!
