মন্দিরতলা গ্রাম নিবাসী গজেন্দ্র পট্টনায়কের স্ত্রী শ্রীমতী আরতি পট্টনায়ক। বহুদিন ধরে অসুস্থ। দীক্ষান্তে গুরুদেবের প্রসাদ গ্রহন করা কর্তব্য।
কিন্তু আরতিদেবীর একান্ত অনুরোধ – “অন্ন প্রসাদ আমাকে দেবেন না। চার মাস ভাত বন্ধ! ডাক্তারের বারন! গ্যাস্ট্রিক আলসার!দুধ-ও বমি হয়ে যায়।’
ঠাকুরের মত – এটা অন্ন নয়, প্রসাদ! রোগিণী নয়, শিষ্যা! তাই আরতিদেবীকে প্রসাদগ্রহনের ভাব অন্তরে রেখে বসে পড়তে বলা হল। শতাধিক ভক্তের সাথে আরতি দেবীও ভক্তিভরে প্রসাদ গ্রহণ করল – অন্ন খিচুড়ি সুক্তো তরকারি চাটনি কিছুই বাদ গেল না!
দুই দিন পরে স্বামী স্ত্রী আবার এল। এসেই সীতারামের চরণে লুটিয়ে পড়ল। রোগিণী সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ। হাজার হাজার টাকা চার বছর ধরে খরচ করেও রোগ সারেনি, কিন্তু গুরুপ্রসাদে আজ সে সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ। সকলে অনুভব করল – ঠাকুরের অসীম কৃপা, গুরুপ্রসাদের মহিমা, ও  গুরুভক্তির অব্যর্থ ফল!

Sitaram Leela:

Smt Arati Pattanayek, Wife of Sri Gajendra Pattanayek of Mandirtala village, had taken Diksha from Thakur Sitaramdas Omkarnathdev. It is a custom to eat Anna-Prasadam [rice meal Prasadam] of Guru on the day of Diksha. But Arati Devi was very sick, she pleaded—‘Don’t give me rice Prasadam. Such meals have been prohibited by doctor. Even drinking milk leads to vomiting!’
But Thakur opines—‘This is not rice meal, this is Prasadam… she is not just a patient, she is a disciple.’ So the lady was advised to sit in the line for taking Prasadam. And she ate all the items with trust and devotion.
After 2 days, the couple came again, and fell at Sitaram’s holy feet. The ailing lady was completely cured.  Spending thousands of rupees over years had borne no fruit, but the Praasadam of Sri Gurudev had healed her. Everybody realized the grace of Thakur, the glory of Guru Prasadam, and the power of Gurubhakti.
